"Chrysler displayed a larger 6.4 L (392 cu in) Hemi in 2005 with output 525 horsepower (391 kW) and 510 lb ft (691 Nm) torque. It is based on an iron HEMI 6.1 L engine block with aluminium alloy pistons. In late 2009 Chrysler Group LLC announced that the 6.4 Hemi would be available in the next generation SRT 8 Dodge Charger, Chrysler 300c and Jeep Grand Cherokee.

The production version of the 6.4L Hemi will first debut in the 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 and it will utilize Variable Camshaft Timing as well as MDS in automatic equipped cars and non-MDS in 6-speed manual cars. The SRT8 version will have 392 HEMI (6.4L) engine rated at 475 hp (354 kW) and 460 lb·ft (624 Nm).[7]
The engine will then be used in the Dodge Challenger SRT8, Chrysler 300SRT8 and the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8."
